Look good, is the tadpole just fished as a conventional tube?

much the same as the collie, long wing flies do best fished with a bit of pace but I tend to strip the collie faster and dont tie the wing as long on the tadpole. .
The tadpole was designed originally as a cold water alternative to the collie. But I like it summer too my favourite tying of it is in a 1" tube with a 3" wing.

hi imb, can be fished with any line you choose. Now that summer has arrived, collies are often stripped fast across the pool on a floating line. Probably best to fish the pool with a ordinary fly first as fish either chase it or are terrified! www.finandfeathers.co.uk/flies.htmhave a look here, written by someone who knows what hes talking about Ross
