I read somewhere that on the Tweed, the Gillies and boatmen insist on using this fly during the last hour of daylight.
If so, should this fly be used on all rivers during the last hour of darkness..??
I've never used this fly before, but the last hour of darkness is usually a good time anyway for taking a fish or two. Therefore, is this just 'another' fly or does the white wing offer something special

Junction Shrimp tube fly dressing is
Body: Rear half yellow floss, front half black floss Rib: Oval gold Centre "hackle": Hot Orange bucktail + some orange Krystal hair Wing: White bucktail Head: Red
The above is for the tube fly version. Tying on a hook the fly is the same except the centre hackle now becomes the tail.
