I have found it to be a doddle. Take heed of the security advice they offer.

No problems with Paypal for me so far. The only thing you should take care of, once you are registered at Ebay you may sometimes get emails, obviously sent by Ebay or Paypal, in wich they will ask you to confirm your membership, or other strange messages. In these mails they will ask you to confirm your membership, and send some personal data to them, like creditcard numbes etc. Never ever respond to these mails, but forward them to the following adresses: spoof@paypal.com or spoof@ebay.com This will help to make ebay and paypal more secure.... Best, Hans.

You have to rigister first Corky, and it used to take some time to get your account confirmed... at least a few weeks... maybe it has been changed, but better safe than sorry... Hans.

When I registered they wanted me to fill a lot of information, of course my creditcard number, exp. date, home adress etc. and they asked permission to debit my creditcard for the amount of $1.95. This gave them the possibility to send an invoice to my home adress, along with a secret number. You need this number to confirm your membership. As long as you have not confirmed this membership, you cannot make payments with your paypal account. It all depends how long it takes before the creditcard invoice is in your mail, my mastercard company sends an invoice once a month, so it may take a few weeks to get your membership working. Maybe they have another method these days, somewhat faster? If so, my info is obsolete.... Cheers, Hans.

Hi Corky I've used PayPal for some time now and no problems. However, one thing to be warned about, is the dreaded e-cheque. If you receive one of these as payment, expect it to take up to 12 days to clear!! If you look at the PP site, it'll tell you why these are sent instead of an instant payment. If you are selling on eBay, specify "no e-cheques".

Paypal will send your money back, if you don't get nothing from the seller. If seller sends you a Slager instead of a Sage, you are in a trouble. But if you pay Paypal invoice with Visa and you get different item what you paid for, Visa will cover it. Still you have to pay the postal cost both ways. So you will loose some money anyways...

I have trouble with Pay Pal.I tried to pay for some straggle from Dave but Pay Pal kept telling me my password was wrong and I knew it wasn't so I cancelled the order and started again.I put in the same password and it worked.
