A few wee ditties for those unlucky anglers - how many can relate to these :
There was a young fisher on Tyne Who said "Salmo, today you'll be mine" So he cast to a fish As it started to p@sh from the Heavens above - a sure sign.
There was an old angler on Tay Who was out on the river in May So he set up his rod And said "Ahy" with a nod When his total was nil for the day.
There was a poor fisher on Tweed Who for chance of a fish was in need So he threw a long line of braided, greased twine But he caught the side of his "heid".
There was a good angler on Dee The best by far for me At casting tight loops into small marked-out hoops But hopeless with water and "flee".
There was a pro-fisher on Spey Who's cast was the talk of the day When he waded too deep His line would all heap And result in a cascading spray.
