All right ladies/gents you've had a hard day at work, perhaps fishing was difficult for you, you've had a few drinks, quite a good few in fact.Whatever though, you have the munchies. What do you fix at home to satisfy your food / hunger cravings? Cheese on toast? Scrambled Eggs on toast? A nice ruby murray? Quick spag bog or Chilli? Bowl of soup? Spill the beans then What gets you feeling good again? ;D

Now were talking, Snacking - A full bag of onion rings lashed down with some cold bottled bud or tennents. I also like trashing a bag of wine gums now and again. Then the indigestion hits and i need to nick the bairns love hearts. 1 to her and 2 too me. Meal wise, crispy duck and pancakes followed by beef in black bean sauce smothered in onions and peppers, side dishes of mushrooms and noodles. Finished off with any kind of cheese cake. Juice - Weegie water, sorry i mean Irn Bru. So you now know the menu Ken, when we oot . Hornet

If I'm coming back and can swing by a supermarket first then our stand by quick and tasty bite when hungry and tired is Chilli Prawns. I will even give you the recipe Greenbanks as I know you are a cook of some renown.
For two.... but quantities can vary to suit taste.
Two supermarket size containers of tiger prawns. If you are really hungry buy three. Uncooked is best but cooked will do.
Chilli peppers to suit individual taste but two is about right (a red one and a green one make it colourful).
A good chunk of ginger root (say about as long as your thumb)
2 cloves Garlic (optional)
Olive oil.
Juice of two limes plus if you wish some lemon juice to suit taste.
Fresh coriander leaves.
Salt & Black pepper.
Throw a good dollop of olive oil in a frying pan. Heat till hot and add chillies diced to very small dice (seeds removed I suggest). Fry for about 1 minute.
Add grated ginger, with any juice that comes off it. Fry again for about 1 minute.
Add finely diced garlic and fry for about 30 seconds or so.
Throw in prawns. If raw cook till pink all over but don't over cook. If already cooked heat through but again don't overdo it otherwise they become a bit thougher than ideal.
When just done add the lime juice (and, if you fancy, a bit of lemon juice - its up to you. The lemon juice sharpens it a bit. We vary it) Heat till bubbling.
When ready throw on top a good handful of roughly chopped coriander leaves, and add a little salt and a good grind of black pepper.
Carry the frying pan to the table and let everyone help themselves from it, mopping up the lovely sauce with lots and lots of crusty bread.
Add white wine direct to tummy....
This is dead easy, done in minutes, and tastes great. One pan so virtually no washing up chaps!
P.A.T.

Roast beef sarnie. Branston on one side & Heinz tomato stuff on the other. Beef must be so rare it that shivers when sliced. Washed down with a natty wee bottle of Brunello de Montalcino. Never mind 7th , this is 10th heaven.
