Thresher's 3 for 2 (cheapest free) is quite good value too, ie 3 bottles of Vina Sol for £12.98

Don't know if this is just a local deal but the Tesco in my area is currently offering 30% off all wines if you buy 6 bottles or more. The six bottles can be mixed. Great offer which I stumbled on by chance yesterday. The discount also applies to wines which they already have on special offer so some really good buys going eg Oyster Bay Sauvignon £4.20. Offer ends this Sunday. Assuming it is no older than 2006 Oyster Bay Sauv, it's hard to imagine a better blend of quality and price in the UK than this wine for £2.94 - it's cheaper than Buckfast ;D Steady! The £4.20 is after discount. Original rrp was £7.99. 2006 vintage.

Bodegas Navajas Reserva Rioja, the crianza is good but the reserva is better. Not available from supermarkets but google it and you will find online suppliers doing it (depending on the vintage) for just under the tenner a bottle. A reasonable substitute is Campo Viejo Reserva, which Tesco are currently knocking out at £5.97 if you buy 6.
For a NZ sauvignon blanc, I reckon "The Ned" from Waitrose at £9.99 is as good as I've had.

I think it is criminal to mention wine and buck fast in the same sentence but what ever lights your candle. ;D

There are some ridiculous prices in their and you have to hand it to them on pricing eg Tesco Spaetlese - £10.97 or the Sierra Valley Californian red at £15.88 for six bottles

Just in case anyone overimbibes with all these bargain prices around and decides to become amorous with someone other than their nearest and dearest, here is an example of the repercussions to your fishing gear that may lie in store: I'm sure this particular lady would specialise in making multipeice spey rods a reality Fantastic ! Drink or no drink, your post will really make us stop and think !!!

We forced ourselves to sample a lot of wines to get the right ones for our wedding Oyster Bay Sav Blanc (must be served properly chilled) Chateau de Ricaud Bordeaux 2003(I think) though 1998 is considered a classic we got this from Clifton wine cellar in Bristol for £8.99 a bottle, goes fantastically well with Lamb On a day to day basis I agree with Flee Co Op do some reasonable <£10 wines current favourites Argento Malbec from Argentina usually on offer for a penny less of a fiver. a eminently quaffable red. And the lovely Kays favorite, Sancerre (£8.99) She even put a remark in the customer comments book that it should be stocked in the refrigerator section. Hey presto the next day it was, now we feel compelled to buy it on a regular basis. ;D

Check out www.bbr.comBerry Brothers do a nice red called unexotically, i may add,"good ordinary claret" at around a FIVER A BOTTLE PER CASE!! and they do "Extraordinary claret" for about £11.00 per bottle a case. These wines are absolutely first class and i would have no hesitation in recommending these. Aside of this they do a Cremant de Limoux which is a very, very superior tasting sparkling (WHITE)wine which would rival a lot of champagnes at about a third of the price, these would keep her indoors more than happy, nudge nudge.
