Juniorspey, Unusual to find a 16 year old who not only fishes for salmon and ties his own flies but appreciates good music. I took my son fishing last season and the look of utter boredom said it all. But put him in front of a Playstation and he won't be seen for hours. What a waste Always funny though when I can tell him what the music on a Playstation games is. Have to say the wee bugger has nicked most of my CDs. These include classic albums from Megadeth, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Helloween, Dream Theatre and the like. Must get them back sometime. I like all good heavy metal/rock but avoid the likes of Buns 'n' Toasties and any other American crap rock. Haven't been to a gig for a few years now, if I remember correctly the last was Steve Vai in Glasgow, because I have to pay for at least 3 tickets now and if my daughter and youngest son show an interest in the dark side, I will be skint Mostly listening to Cradle Of Filth, Dragonforce and Paradise Lost at the moment with the occasional Trivium, Slipknot, Opeth. Sometimes transcend back to the really old stuff (before you were born) like Deep Purple, Saxon, Marillion - aaahhhh the memories. Keep rockin. Colin.

I like a wee bit of everything really. Modern stuff like kasabian, the killers , the view, keane ... also like some of the old man's kind of music - elo, david bowie, queen. Partial to a wee bit of rap now and again - snoop, dre, the game, 2pac and I even like some Frank Sinatra tunes. Have to say I aint so keen on much heavy metal back in the days of school my wee brother did my nut with his slipknot style music - glad to say he's moved on from that now Still, each to their own eh? i bet it would be boring if everyone listened to the same stuff

Oh yes Metal/Rock fans.
At the moment listening to
Fantomas, Tomahawk, Mr Bungle, Peeping Tom, Faith No More basically just about anything Mike Patton has done & Type O Negative (their latest album Dead Again is superb)
Love a load of heavy bands here's just a few; Pantera, Life of Agony, Katatonia, Madball, Mastodon, The Haunted.
My music taste is varied though I am a big fan of Tom Waits.
The charts & music that gets radio airplay is mind numbing.
Cheers Graeme

Hi Simmo,
Can I ask you please, what is the flag shown in your icon.?
There's one like flies at a house on the A836 just south of Lairg and it's the only other time I've seen it. Been on the internet trying to identify it, but to no avail. Is it a society of great salmon fishers or what?
Thanks.
