Stu,
Any news on the Bjerkreim this week. Did you get an invasion of grilse or was it just the Danes.
How are the levels after all this rain?

Stu,
I ended up driving down last night for a couple of hours. Very heavy rains at times and highish water. There were some despondent faces in Sone 3 around Vinningland.
I heard last week fishing was good around Gjedrem. A few Scots were over waving their Ally's Shrimps and doing quite well by all accounts.
I get the feeling that it has not been a great season compared to previous years and we have had plenty of water this year.
If I get down this week I might try a sunk line and some big tubes.

Unfortunatly the season ends at midnight tonight, went out for a last chuck after work, there were a few fish still on the move, the river was still high though after it had risen about a metre on sunday.Got one fish today of around 5 kilos, coloured hen fish returned,it took a templedog conehead i made the other night just for the last day,did the trick nicely

Couple of pics of the fly,i wanted something with a bit of movement and colour as the river in the weekend had picked up[ a bit of colour, which is a bit unusual, even high it runs clear must remember the dressing

Seems the season was a little better than most people expected with a total for the whole river, that is Bjerkreim,Fotlands and Tengs,of 11,179kg,which is only about a 1000kg less than last year
