There was a salmon caught in Alta,with a length of 1.39 metres and estimated at 35/36 kilos,the fish was caught in a net whilst stock fish were being taken,there is a link but the pictures are not to good www.altaposten.no/lokalt/nyheter/article110414.ece

Did you hear about the 50 from river Kola this season ? and that's 50KG not lb. Rumour suggests it was caught by poachers in a net.

John, the Kola fish keep getting bigger and bigger. I heard of a half believable -ish 64lber in late May from the lower river, but 50 kilos takes some believing!
