Here is a step by step "guide" for the Willie Stroker so far I have only tied them on tubes but I cant why they couldn't be done on a double or single. Sorry in advance for the incorrect terms and lack of technical advice as I am a relative novice. Tube - Copper, ally or plastic Thread - Red Body - Gold Mylar Under wing - Purple Buck Tail Mid Wing - Yellow Icelandic Goat Over Wing - Black Buck Tail Cheeks - Jungle C0ck Flash - Emerald Crystal Hair and Rainbow Flash Step 1. Mount tube in holder and cut a length of mylar full length of tube. Whip mylar to tube 1/4" from tail end. Step 2. Varnish the whipping and allow to dry. Step 3. Unpick the mylar weave at the end to form a tail. Step 4. Tie in the mylar tubing at the front of the tube making sure the tubing is pulled tight and fully constricts. Step 5. Tie in the purple buck tail roughly the same length as the tube. Step 6. Tie in the emerald crystal hair, one strand on each side Step 7. Tie in the yellow goat hair, twice the length of the tube. Step 8. Tie in the black buck tail. Step 9. Tie in the rainbow flash on top of the black wing, 2 strands, one either side of the center line. Step 10. tie in the jungle c0ck cheeks and whip finish. Step 11. Apply clear varnish to the head, wait to dry then go and catch fish.

I like it, the Willie Stroker, the fly fishers answer to the flying condom!!! BTW you appear to wind your thread backwards, or maybe I do Andy

I have been told that I wind the thread on in the non conventional way but as I am self taught its a habit I just cant get out of. The person that pointed this out said its not a problem as long as I wind body floss and the rib in opposing directions to lock everything in. I still struggle with hackles though but I have all winter to practice in between work , football ,shooting and drinking oh yeh and looking after the kids and spending some time with the other half.

nice fly wilbert, should do some damage I hadn't noticed the thread but now that you mention it it is opposite from what I do - still it seems to work for you which is the main thing
