Imade this for my last trip of the season last week, last cast so to speak, but it caught me a 5 kilo fish so here goes a SBS I used FITS tubes med and xs,i use a blind eye hook for these, cut the outer on an angle and slide onto the hook then place the liner inside, this is cut to an angle as well, makes it easier later when the cone goes on Bind the two tubes together and run the thread along, catching a piece of ribbing, oval gold in this case Take the thread back up about half way an catch in some pearl flat braid Wrap this to to the tail and back,i think it looks better with 2 layers of this Tie in an orange badger hackle and start dubbing orange SLF to the thread Front body wound on

Wind the hackle and counter rib the body, with this i first put in 2 full turns at the back of the body Now take the first bunch of hair, this is hot orange fox, brush all the soft under fur out and tie in to the end or a bit over the end of the tube A bit of flash then the yellow hair brushed out the same Flash again and this is fiery brown templedog, better length than the fox Top veiw of finished wing Now for a longer orange badger cock hackle Whip finish, put a bit of super glue on then put the cone on and twist it round just to spread the glue, cut the inner to a few mills and then melt it over with a lighter, bobs your uncle, templedog

The cones are FITS tungsten,i found i liked them better than any others, they have good weight for the size and are hollow inside and fit nicely over the whip finish,i tried them in differant colours, mixing wing and body colours, some worked some didnt. They look the dogs wotsits in the water
