What cast should be travel the farthest double spey or single spey

Absolutely, it is far easier to energize the d-loop with a single spey, if you need to cast right hand up from the right bank it is worth learning the snake roll, it too is far more efficient than the double spey I'll take that one step further: Steve Choate's "single/double/treb. Spiral cast. If you haven't seen it done (he won at Musto a few years back) it's a lot like a reverse snake roll. Rather than the rod tip moving into the beach, then out over the water the tip action is beach directed, then the rod tip across in front of you. The action forms large spring like coils in the air in front of/below you. Set the anchor and an even reasonably adept caster can shoot a 100 foot head (plus running line) out to 120-140 feet with a 16 foot rod.
