I'm due to fish this beat at the end of March.
As it is my first time there I would welcome any words of wisdom on the beat - especially about prospects, pools and tactics.
Thanks in anticipation

I thought Portnacraig would be past it's best by now but I couldn't resist having a go when I saw the height on Tuesday. Only had a few hours but it's nice when you hit it right. Two of the fish were fairly coloured (7 and 12 lbs) but this one gave a hell of a fight! (Must get a new photographer

Cracking days work, as I read on the PAC website that another two were lost.
One thing from the pic - The tail doesn't look right, in fact it reminds me of that new Loop double handed shotgun, I hope the fish are not going the same way ;D

I wrote that post badly - no complaints about the colour of the fish in the photo! Good value for money at £15 but I only pay £5!! Did it again today and got a nice sea-liced 9lber.

Well done Donnie, some machine and a better picture of you ;)but you need to resize your photos before posting so that the screen formatting is not forced out

I've only just learned how to post a photo (after 6 months!) and have to admit it gets on my tits when people like me put huge big pics on so you end up scrolling all over the place. What's the trick for resizing then? Rapala x-rap (10) gold/orange - should be outlawed.....

What's the trick for resizing then? Rapala x-rap (10) gold/orange - should be outlawed..... I just use the resize function on Paintshop Pro but I'm sure you can do it using Photobucket. You can do it using your camera but the problem then is the image is too small for printing. Set the image size to around 450 x 600 cheers Alan

If you use photobucket than select 'notice' board' size. Donnie, is this your twin brother Thanks Springer, that's the easiest and most efficient way to do it and avoids undersizing as well as oversizing the photos. Looks like spot the Donnie clone on a beat near you, is becoming this summer's fishing entertainment. Donnie, in true cheesy BBC roadshow fashion, you have to hand out an orange rapala if challenged, to show you are the real deal
