Sorry fellas. This is the late report that Lord of the Isles DonnieW spoke about last weekend. A random crew had three days on SH. The water range from 6 - 7' on the marker and the water at 36 - 38 degrees c. Unlike Jim the Fuishie last week you could hear a pin drop among the noise of fuish being caught and seen. However, we managed to scrape some action, and here it is.
The Friday Fuish. Here is Ernie the mysterious headless gille who drives the fastest milk cart boat in the west holding 9lbs of perfection (no not the photo) caught by Windy. Note the long tailed sea lice. Fish sent on its way. On a bottle tube and the Jocky Menteith from the Linn Pool. Good work man who lives in a house with sails type fella.
Later in a glorious afternoon, the Collie Dog can be observed fishing the flee doon the Linn Pool like so:
Meanwhile CLaG scored weel with a broon toot on tha well kent flee the 3" Waddington
Onto the Saturday and a lunker. 20lbs on the Flee from Upper Stobhalski to Nigel B. You may not win them all, but the odd successful skirmish goes a long way. To save a long thread of autopsy C&R angst, Uncle Bob took an executive decision that this fuishies' seal bites at the head made returning it a prime candidate for disease and fading away before spawning; so better oot than in.
So the catches at the back end of last week were just as disappointing as they were this week. However, twa on das flee is pleasing (not a touch to the Harl for 3 days). For the record Collie had the only kelt (one - jeez!), I had a run on the reel at the tail of Red Rocks and that, apart fram mae toot, wus it. Would the person who has stolen this year's spring run kindly return it; no questions asked
Later Fuishies
