Given the improving run of fish in the Almond I was very interested to see the video link below of a couple of younger anglers having great sport on this Tayside river. Has anone else had similar experiences fishing it? Apparently the video promoting country sports for youngsters in the Perthshire area has caused some concern. ZH www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9Z2GYTxldY

Never fished the Almond before, but with improved runs and such a diverse sporting day to be had, it might be the next venue for the back-end corporate outing.
A couple of hours casting followed by a driven left and right - then back to the castle for flagons of wine and a hearty feast .... ahhh ... bisto !!

Hi guys - been a wee whiley since I have posted last. No other reason than been doing an average of 4 allnighters (including dusks / dawns) pw since mid June and therefore simply knackered . Good sport - but thats another post ;D. Anyhoo..........re. those naughty Glenalmond boys 'you tube' link, as posted by Zephead, I have just heard mention of it made on the lunchtime edition of BBC Radio Scotchgeezer's main news in less than encouraging tones. Probably feature tonight on the main tee-lee-vee news at 6pm. For info only. Back to bed now.............ZZzzzzzzz

Hello Sinkingtip, Good to hear from you and it sounds like you have been hammering the flea . The Chav Hunting was on Reporting Scotland as per your prediction and I'm sure i spotted Barry Ferguson on it ;D, LOL. For some reason it seems to have put a few noses out of joint . Hornet

on joining the stormount ac i took the almond ticket as a back up (only £10 i think) walked and had a cast or two in feb and its a lovely wee river. not fished it proper as yet but in the pipe line soon i hope
