Hi All,
I'm making a quick visit to Muir of Ord in mid sept. Any suggestions for getting fixed up for a couple of days salmon fishing? I'm thinking of having a day on the Glass and perhaps a day on the Ness. I've not fished either so any inside knowledge would be most welcome.
Thanks

The Town water at Inverness can be very good. You get the tickets from Grahams in Castle Street £25 or £30.00 /day.

Cheers Graham
Is there a limit on the number of day tickets issued ?
I guess it will be quite busy on the Town Water during the back end of September into October.

You could also try the Garry, the Moriston or the Alness. Sorry that since I moved down to the Borders 15 years ago my contact numbers fpr these are out of date, but WG or one of the others should be able to help.

To late for these rivers they are spring rivers. Alness might be ok with water

Thanks for the info.
I have booked a day on the Glass. Probably more likely to catch a Tartan Tourist than a bar of silver but there were no rods on the Beauly the two days I can fish. I'm going to leave my second day until I'm there. It will either be the town water on the Ness or if water conditions are good I'll fish the Alness, another river I have never fished.
Thanks again.
