According to Fishtweed there is supposed to be a seal on the Lees beat. Anyone seen it.

one was 6lb 9oz,the other was 7.5lbs. Good sea trout by any standards. Sounds like despite the high water they are still hanging around the lower Tweed

We fished the lees tonite, conditions were pretty good apart from the wind, plenty of cloud cover and the river dropping in nicely,i started off in the glide with the j m multi tip and a 15 ft intermediate tip, with a wullie gunn cascade size 12 double, saw a couple of fish show tight to the far bank, hopes were high, anyway covered these fish without any joy, then suddenly right at the tail i got a positive take just before the fly came on the dangle,a quick head shake and bugger waved goodbye with a swagger and a splash of tail ,having felt this was a good take i reeled in to check the fly and noticed the hook points were not as sharp as id like them to be ,a hard lesson learned,so off with that un and on with another of the same pattern. I then decided to take a walk up to a lie called the back of the wall,,,second cast with a slow fo8 and another good pull,no joy yet again,i then backed up 15 yards and covered again, this time no retrieve ,as the fly slowed to about a standstill a couple of short twitches and bang i was in ,,after some breathtaking runs and a last gasp leap,he was nearly ready, couple of Min's later he was beached, unfortunately the fish was badly hooked it had to be dispatched, not a bad end to what could have been a pretty frustrating evening.

Yep-guilty as charged. If it was in the late afternoon it was me making a bit of a hash of the Island and Hawthornbank from the Kelso side-I don't think we restarted til three when the girls took over.
Very difficult to concentrate on casting with Miss Andrea in the boat from the Hawthornbank in her red wellies, cropped top and Gucci "polaroids".Have an incredibly sore foot and ankle at present which made wading difficult and had one of those days when I just couldn't seem to find a decent rythmn to the day.
Collective tally was a 5lb sea-trout and an 8lb fish and the grayling(returned).
The wading in Hempseedford has changed a great deal-much of the gravel has gone from it and there must be 2ft less "bottom" in it than last year at reasonably low levels.
Smacking take from the 2.5lb grayling to a size 12 red Francis which was quite a shock as I was under bawled instructions not to bloody loose it as Billy J thought it was a fish as he saw the take and it put a good bend in the rod upon taking line.
Good fun day-Gamefish website should have the photos posted soon.
