to far up river, okay if you want to catch coloured fish. better in middle and lower beats

Generally agree with BTG, however Dawyk like many upper Tweed beats can produce sea-liced fish in November if the water is right for running.
The Tweed is a different river here however, smaller altogether.
For many Dawyk is not really a recognised "Upper Tweed Beat" - too far up.
