Hi Ian, I'm not aware of any (never mind good) association water on the middle or lower Greed (sic) . Just lots of over-inflated private beats . Your best be is to look on tributarys such as the Teviot - Jedburgh AA and Hawick AC both offer good value fishing including visitors tickets. Need some water though. CD

Hello ianjones there is sweet fanny adams as regards Association water for salmon angling in the middle and lower Tweed. Also as far as I can gather from other threads I have read recently the public available water on the Upper Tweed is sorely diminished. In the lower and middle parts of this river you can still expect to be asked for serious money even in off season. On the river Whiteadder the Berwick Angling Association has some salmon fishing but like all small rivers it is very much dependant upon river levels before fish can be expected to run, mainly due to physical restrictions in the shape of weirs and shallow fords.
On Tweedside we are in an unfortunate position of having to travel in excess of 100miles minimum to get outwith the system and hopefully find some affordable association water. Dont expect the prices to come down either with the kind of autumn season Tweed is having.
