Flybri, Pond321 and I are fishing the TYne/Coquet this weekend. Can any of you give a bit of advice on favoured flies, sizes etc for these rivers.
We have never fished up this way at the back end and some pointers would be really appreciated.
Many thanks

Bri and Pond are fishing the tyne at Bywell, stapleford Hall ?? I was supposed to be fishing with them but the ghillie buiggered up the booking and I am fishing on the Coquet, I spoke to Alan Bagnal on Monday, I dont know the best names. There is apparentky fishing on the Tyne below Bywell as well, will no more when I get there.

Greg
That will be the Stocksfield Hall beat which is from the Bridge at Bywell down to the Fed boundry at Merryshields, with the exception of a short stretch of the South bank whch is the TAS Bywell Quarry water.
Unless the Coquet gets water you will probably be better off on the Tyne Fed water. Springer and Hadrian are the lads to get you into a fish down there.

Stocksfield is the proper name where BRi and Pond are fishing, I will take my chances on the Coquet unless anyone can suggest/provide me with a better cast for the Saturday.
Alan will give you a call on my way up this evening.
Thanks for the replies and help.
