ive been watching fish struggle to get over a weir on my local recently,and have done for many years,obviously ive seen fish make it,there is a ladder,but its imposible to see them go through,but its very narrow,this fish pass used to be in stepped formation but was modernised about 6 or 7 yrs ago,ive had a look into it in low water and it has fins on either side,to me it looks as though it was eisier for the fish before the changes,ive saw a few fish make it up the main parts but not that many,they really struggle,sometimes you really feel like helping them over,has anyone got any info on these new fin like salmon ladders???
