The seasons not quite over and I'm already trying to sort out the next one ;D Ive got some friends who are moving up to Lochcarron (the west coast one) this weekend and we will be visiting them in Feb for a few days. Ive already primed the better half that I will be missing for a day , so I just wondered if anybody would recommend anywhere within say 1 hrs drive from Lochcarron at that time of year? Gary

Thanks Graham, do you know if they offer day tickets on any beats? What about the Moriston, or is that a lot further away (I will travel that bit more if it will help me ). Gary

The Moriston is the better bet of the two. This lies just 6 miles east of the Oich. Bookings are made through Annie Girvan, the estate factor, with day tickets comming in at around 25pounds during Jan-Feb.
Tel: 01320 351300
p.s. I would phone sooner rather than later as this is a one of the most productive spring beats around, and is in high demand.
