As i understand it, the east cost of Scotland tends to fish well in the spring, whereas the more south and west you go, the later it fishes. Very generally i mean, i am no expert! Anyway i was absolutely at the end of my tether with boredom at work today and there was an atlas in front of me. Salmon feed off of Greenland if i'm correct, so when i was looking at the atlas i noticed that the first part of Scotland they hit on return is the north east. Do the fish then slowly make their way round the coast until they reach their own river explainin the late show in the west and southern east coast? This also makes me ask, do they travel back from Greenland in massive shoals and then go their seperate ways upon hitting the tip of scotland, or do "west coast" fish go straight there? I'm sure the more experienced amongst you will see the naiveity in my questions but i'd be extremely interested to hear your thoughts on this. Cheers
