Can't help out here Shrimpin, never fished the Mourne - all my fishing's in Scotland. Still better a negative reply than none at all.

I only know about the Mourne at Sion Mills and as you already said its pretty much a closed shop unless you live local (very local ). In the season you can get a day ticket easy enough, if you have a DCAL license its very cheap. E

Contact David Campbell, who owns or did own the tackle shop in Newton Stewart, he will be a good guy to see for tickets etc.

see tickets arnt what i am looking for! i need to get in some sort of good fishing club with good water. the agivey is out of the question, wil be waiting till am about 50 to get on there. i have heard good reports for six mile. anyone know where i could get an application forum for it?

Shrimpin - as I mentioned in an earlier post the Sixmile is not a great salmon river, its more renowed for dollaghan. It is also very difficult to get into the club with a long waiting list.
