where is the best place in northern ireland, to catch early springers at an affordable price but with a good chance of connecting with a few?

That place doesn't exist. Used to be the Bush at Bushmills before research station ruined it. The Mourne would be your best shot but not for really early fish.

yea the bush is the river i fish, alot of the old fishermen tell me storys of when they fished the bush as kids, only fishing two or 3 days a week and in a season catching over 150 salmon. the bush will be dead soon, very sad
