I'm the same as you crawfish...... getting all the gear ready for Monday on the Ericht Picked up my permit yesterday and tied up a few more flies last night!! Im raring to go! ;D I'm just back from a walk with the dog along the river from Westmill to Eastmill and the water looks very good. It was 5.5 degrees celsius (42F) yesterday and its 3.5 today (38F) and its running almost crystal despite all that rain. Hopefully no more rain and things will drop back nicely! Good luck to all those that are out! and i'll maybe bump into you Keith?? I think i might start at the dump pool and head downstream through the course of the day...... i'll call you when i land my Springer.... PM me your mobile number!! ;D

Altmor,
Sorry to go off the thread; are you fishing with the same group that Tom Walker normally fishes with on Saturday (Waulkmill 20th Jan)?

Alltmor,
I never knew that you knew that crowd, fished with them at short notice a couple of years ago. I fished with Tom quite a bit, but less so now that he's moved to Aberdeen. He won't make it on Saturday, but his usual fishing partner Charlie is taking his rod. I hope you all have a great day, and you just never know - there could be a fresh fish or two with all that water.
Tight Lines, Gary

Thanks Gary, Charlie should be there, met him yesterday walking the dogs. We were both saying, as you, "could be a springer on the bank on Saturday", then again, watch the weather. This time last year was low water !! I'll let you know how we get on. Cheers Altmor.

altmor, Looks like I'll be out with you tomorrow on Waulkmill. George Stewart has pulled out so Charlie phoned to ask if I wanted the rod. I wish I had have known sooner, I'll have to get the fly-tying kit, and the aquasure out tonight. Still to put new wader studs in my boots as well I'll probably realise that I've forgotten to get something else I need at 11 O'clock this evening! Never mind, it will be a good day out, and it will be good to meet another forum regular. Cheers, Gary
