Is this a friend you have known a long time or an elderly friend? The North bank has easier access by motor vehicle though the wading in Bakebear is easier from the South Bank.

I would go for the North Bank, the walk to Park Inn from the South Bank could finish your friend off.

Left hand bank is always far more enjoyable for me.
The natural bank - easy work too.

Hi Webbie I have sent you a personal message with up to date information viz both banks. There has been a lot of work done during the close season which has altered some of the pools characteristics from an anglers mobility viewpoint and would differ somewhat from Mr Gunns assessment of the beat.On his website, which can be accessed through the weblink on his signature on this forum, which i personally like, there is a photo taken from the north bank at Park, looking upstream from just above bakebare which shows well the quality of spring fish we have in the pools from the start of the seson .Keith and I would endeavour to take cognaisance of your friends needs accordingly and would ensure he enjoys his time fishing with us as best we can. Have you put a road up to Park Inn on the South Bank? Hi Willie I personally have not built a road up to Park inn pool at the top of number 1 beat albeit I have, along with Keith Cromar, who you will know well, have significantly improved the access path up there, which most of our regular visitors to Park will appreciate. There have been major reinstatement works to the high banks (Northbank) with large rocks utilised throughout on the following pools,Park Inn beat 1,the Long Pool beat 2,The home pool beat 3 and Bakebare beat 4,which you will see when you come to visit and / or fish, you will also appreciate the scale of work undertaken and the expense undertaken to expidite these works, which has been very, very significant. This work has arisen as a result of significant flood erosion. We are hopeful that we will have created some new lies though as a result of the works and fingers crossed will give us more fish throughout the season. Kenny
