Hello to all existing members,
I thought that since it seems to be the done thing, I'd introduce myself. I found this board via the spey pages (american site). I did think about joining the fly-forum last year as I wanted to join a board on this side of the water, but it all seemed a bit abusive.
Anyway, been fishing for about 25 years. I have neither the time nor money at the moment to fish the good beats at the right times, so I fish mainly on club tickets at the moment - Perth and District Ticket for the Tay and Loch Lomond AIA ticket for the Leven, Endrick, Fruin, and Loch Lomond. I like to get a few choice day tickets through the year, just to remind myself of what I may be able to enjoy more often when my kids grow up.
Fish almost exclusively with the fly, not through snobbery, it's just more fun!!!
Tight Lines for 2006. Gary

Graham,
Yes, I am GaryW from the Spey Pages. Hence, the reason that I recognised a few of the names on here!
I hope this board becomes as successful. It's nice to keep up with the views and developments from across the pond, but it will also be nice to have a more local forum.
Tight Lines,
Gary

Clydebuilt,
Will you be down the river on opening day. I'll try and make it. Slim chance of a fresh fish in February, but it'll be good to get a bit of casting practice and blow the cobwebs off.
