Has one of the modern-day supercasters managed to use one of Alexander Grant's rods to find out whether these distances are possible? I recall an article in T&S in which Scott MacKenzie was allowed to hold but not use a Vibration rod. I think Mr Grant only overhead cast, so he would have been restricting himself a little to the pools he could have fished.
