Temple Dog hair and Ostrich Herl

You have all probably seen the tube flies tied with coneheads and turbo cones in the fishing magazines.

I have sourced temple dog hair in three lengths - 2.5 cm to 4 cm, 4.5 cm -6cm and 8-12 cm and in a possible 42 colours. Also ostrich herl in a possible 24 colours.

Question is - would all you fly tyers use said products or are you happy to use Artic Fox/ Runner and cock hackles.?

To tie big templedog tubes, templedog hair is pretty much a must- only the very best, longest arctic fox tails are long enough. I will take some of the longest stuff from you- I will send you a pm.
