Like springer I'm a s/e builder, specializing in stonework, ill tackle the blocks and bricks too,but its so repetitive it does my head in. Springer maybe we could team up and build a nut house for me.. A jail for A/A. A school for 9nro and Malcom(teacher),private tuition may be rather expensive though.

willie gunn, just out of interest, how did you end up working at the top end of the market? did you work on other "lesser" beats first? scotty. I am a freelance guide / gillie I work where ever I can, if someone is over from America on a business trip and has a free day, he gets in touch and I pick him up from the airport and take him fishing for the day. I imagine most clients get the business to pay. Malcolm, you have pm.

I'm a Resident Engineer - Surveyors & QS's do the hard work while I go fishing! ;D You're spot on there Elwyman - I fish occasionally with a couple of engineers, they're never off the water, whilst I'm slogging it out on site or back in the office. More often than not though, I'm trying to find a solution to an engineering problem, since the resident eng on my projects is off fishing !! ;D

I'll second that ... good to see you're in the heating game 9nro - the big thing we're moving into as you'll no doubt know is thermal heat pumps and underfloor heating. If you can branch into these fields, you'll be able to buy a stretch of the Spey in a few years. I do agree with Salmonking though - the vernacular - you'll need to improve it to command an authoritative position - in whatever you do - not just salmon fishing. I think we're getting there with your last post though.

I'm a contracts manager for a civil engineering company .I,m usually wishing that the RE would P1ss off fishing and leave us in peace to get on with missing out half the reinforcement and as for surveyors don't even get me started ;D Stick in at the plumbing 9nro theres a severe lack of good tradesmen about and plumbers make good money ,and theres always the scrap lead and copper

Nice one Hardygem ;D.
The RE and the Surveyor - kind of akin to the "bailiffs" of the construction site - ever watchful for the contract's manager, sneaking a fly cast ... ;D

SK, I could sub-contract "avitar Jack" out, and once he's finished "labradoring" - he could become the prison gaurd dog !! ;D A double scoop !
