Interesting stuff James - but is that a planer board or just an attractor ahead of the lure?

They are flashers the one at the end is a Fishcatcher or a Spindoctor as you can see they give the lure an erratic action, with you being from aberdeen you could maybe see the similarities with the action the guys put into thier lures when spinning on the Ythan with the wagging the rod up and down on the retreve.

Interesting to see that most of the fish turn on the take in still water. I always imagined that they would just rush up from behind and overrun the bait like the last one did.

very popular method on the great lakes fished it many times the flasher spinning creates a visual ball of silver bait fish and behind is a jig head (plastic) with cut bait regulation is 3ft max from the flasher to bait
