See a grand total of 2 fish reported on fishtay today the springers seem to be late this year very few being seen on the Tummel as well. Are the other rivers experiencing the same thing or is it just the Tay system.

I was looking at Fishtweed earlier and I got the impression that for the whole river, numbers are 25-30% down on the 5 year average.
Looking at Fishdee, they might struggle to make the 5 year average for March, unless they have a very good final week - I'm not sure if the Dee beats report consistently?
Park has struggled, but Little Blackhall and Inchmarlo is doing very well.
PS I hear one came off the Tummel today.

I'm ashamed to tell anyone how many hours I've fished this month........ The catches on fishtay make pretty grim reading, especially considering the number of rods out this week. I'm new to the Tay system so can't really guess what's wrong. Can't blame the seals but my fish today was badly marked - probably the worst I've seen.

Congratulations Donnie, cutting it fine though mate. Now with the hard months behind you, it should be plain sailing !! Pressure off for now mate but there's never a certainty in this game as you well know. Good luck for the next 9 months and I'll give you a free day if you get a fish in all 12.

Well done Donnie.
Good to meet you yesterday. My wife knows Neen by the way. They were at the Nicholson at the same time !
Maybe the four of us could meet up at The East Haugh Hotel for a refreshment some time.
