Big Fish

Great news to report.
The second 25lb salmon from Park,on the magnificent Dee, this season has been caught.
Well done Duncan Egan,hope the wee black spaniel has recovered from this special moment.
I thought it was a skye terrier he way it leapt aroooond;D
It doesnt pay to fish too fine.."this time of year" guys.
2 anglers broken and 1 who had,sadly the hook straighten out ,in the last fortnight tells you that there are some lunkers about the Dee.The fish are really scarce but perseverence brings its rewards.Hope to hear that the Spey, and other Scottish rivers,bring news of some lunkers to the forums over the next few months when they are caught.Best of luck to you all.

Minitube my spies tell me it was from the Cellar... but I may be wrong. Do you think it was the same fish as caught last week (same pool - same size)?

I believe from Greenbanks that it was caught higher up and on the other side. A separate set of skid marks on the bank then. I also understand Greenbanks recently had a twenty one pounder himself.
It is such a big river there and so many fresh spring fish running I'd think there must always be a few big fish knocking around, probably even bigger than have been caught.
