If its the story i'm thinking of then it was a porpoise and about a year old. Apparently three were discovered a few miles away last week?? also dead. It appears that hypothermia is to blame... brought on by starvation resulting in loss of blubber.
More animals starving at sea?? bit of a trend developing??

Said in our local paper that the Allan dolphin was shot..... One assumes it was put out of it's misery.
