OK so here's the current position; been out about 15 times this year on the Ericht/Isla and have not seen a fin, fished fairly hard, mostly fly but a wee bit spinning and never touched a thing (apart for a twa pund troot).
Having read recent good threads about different factors to consider when fishing, it dawns on me that i never think; usually just wade into a pool and fish down n' across. Just gets me wondering if I did put more thought into things would it bear fruit (or fish as the case may be)?
Basically I'm just wondering if I'm getting demoralised for no reason and if are other good fishers are also suffering a wee lean spell. Anyone else out there in the same boat as me and should I stop worring about no seeing fish? It can only get better surely eh?
Cheers Lads.

Well jkboy you aren't doing it wrong really,if you are seeing fish and then not getting a pull that would be different If you can fish down and across well enough you will be ahead of the game, expand your techniques and you have a real edge. Next time you fish go in and fish in the classic way,if a fish doesn't hang on fish through again but try summat different. Its time to worry if you are seeing fish and results don't come,if your seeing nowt there might not be nowt in front of you at that time.
