Greenhighlander variants and silver grey are good in clear water during daytime. Willie Gunn, Phatagorva variants are good in slightly coloured water. Add some Allys and Cascades and you will do OK.
have these done in various sizes /styles from size 8 double/treble to larger tubes (6-10cm wing) Templedog style is my preference. Buy some strong hooks....Sawada or salar and use 22-30lbs seaguar. You never know what you'll hook!!
........and of course take some Sunray Shadows in various sizes from 8-14cm (wing). Great at night.
I'm there in 2 weeks.

You can check current river conditions here : www.gaula.no/Things are looking good. Water is still quite high but dropping, temps are going up and there is little snow left. You could be on floating lines by end of June. What beat are you on? I also fish upstream of Storen on GFF beats.

Not sure of the beat name, but we are staying at Kjelden Farm just 100 yds over the Bua Bridge. Our fishing is about 1km of the Gaula and 2 km of the Bua. I believe it is a private beat of a friend?? I have seen that site but can not translate it to english.

I know this beat. It's upstream( and downstream) from our beats. Should be good. Bua fishes better in July when river levels drop. It's a rough/fast river. I'd stick to Gaula.
