Thanks Jan
I had hoped someone might know the DNA result when I posted it, great stuff. 43.65lb hen salmon unlucky for the world record sea trout trophy, and I was 10lb out with my weight guess.

Someone help me too, Scotty! I'd love a cast on Tillmouth this autumn, but, £450 a day in November?? For a lot of folk that's their family's monthly income!! All I can say is that a lot of seriously wealthy people must be around. I fished Tillmouth a couple of times 5+ years back, I think I paid around £50 a day in spring. It was about £200 for a prime autumn day then. Things obviously have changed since then, has the Estate purchased more/better water? I note 9 Rods are now let, rather than 6? Oh well, maybe in heaven.....

Glad to be of help. If you guys want to watch some video of when the fish is played and landed go to: www.polarflua.com/Film/Filmklipp.htmYou will recognize the clips of the fish by the photo, left column 5 and 6 clip from the bottom of the page. Theres quite a bunch of movie clips from northern Norway and although it bugs me to say so since I'm Swedish and those guys are Norwegian they do seem to be able to catch the odd salmon....At least we still manage to beat them at ice-hockey. Regards Jan

Dear Jan
Many thanks for the link with all those videos. I'll not get much work done today!
The angler in the video titled "ALTA, Elvestrand Ronny VS Laksen", presumably called Ronny, should be awarded a medal for his athleticism and enthusiasm.
The video titled "Ken Jørans kjempelaks Landingen av fisken" is going to make me think again about the problems of landing big fish. I've never had a 20kg fish, the anglers are clearly delighted but it is a shame they didn't kill it immediately. But is it 20kg?
