From memory- over priced, single bank, not much fiahable water. Not a patch on Kercock.

Never fished it, but I have seen it. The word is that it is indeed over-priced compared to some of it's better neighbours, unless your friend is getting special rates. Do I know him Para1?

Fruin, don't think you know him. I have fished the Salt Hole but from the other side.

It is effectively a £15 a day beat which the unscrupulous letting agent charges £100 for, hence all the availability. Could try and get his money back on the grounds of misinterpretation! I'd give it a try. The PDAA have the other bank, but not the Salt Hole. Incidentally, the club side is also the better side.

The result of that wee Baldaroch trip. Because of family comitments my mate only fished Monday and Tuesday. I joined him on the Monday and netted a fish for him, he fished Tuesday to no avail, wind was terrible. Wednesday he couldn't fish and gave it to me and another friend. The other friend (spawney barsteward) lost two fish, one a bar of silver about 10lbs. There was only two of us fishing,(only 1 on tuesday) I note that some of the twelve rod beats doubled our catch.

para 1 did you or your friends find any sign of prawning or shrimping ? We of the 12 rod beat certainly did. Baldaroch is the next beat up.on the right bank. Two of the Baldaroch rods came down on to the twelve rod beat (KERCOCK) Gary followed up to have a word ,however both left in a large white transit van with some urgency. Any clues ??

No sign seen whilst we were here, but did hear that it was still going on on some beats. You can normally tell with what's seen on the bank. BTW we had a silver Vectra.
