So I guess we've all made plans for fishing trips in autumn, often the best chance than we from south of the border will have of catching a salmon.
We fished Upper Caberston last autumn and had fish, and thought we'd try another Upper Tweed beat. We're off to Ashiestiel for 3 days in early November, with a few days on the Annan or Nith also a possiblity.
Anybody else got plans?

Sketchy at present, other than 2 days on the Upper Tweed in November. I might try and swing a trip to the Alness late October and Cornwall November.

Hopefully a few days on the Tyne in October and a day or two on the Annan.

Catch the ferry to S.Ireland and hit the Nore, you won't regret it. Good local -originally Scottish - guide there too Jim Brown. Thomastown and Kilkenny anglers stretches. Large fresh run fish, compulsory catch and release and single hooks only but great fishing. Closes Sept 30th. Suir can be good in places too, also same regulations and closes Sept 30th.
