A lot of people will know already, however Amazon is an excellent place to buy fishing books and DVDs etc. They have a simple search engine and will show prices for both new and secondhand/discounted books, lay out is similar to e-bay, and Falkus and other (modern) authors are available at good/cheap prices. Please may this thread not become another "we don't need books, we've got the forums" thread

I used to trawl book shops while traveling around the country, while I got some bargains I've have since realised I could have saved a fortune with ebay. Many books that are for sale in angling book shops for up to £80 are available for less than £10 despite being in the same condition.
The same book title will come up regularly on ebay. A good guide will be to look at a book you have enjoyed, look at that author's reading list and then get those books, reasoning being that they will probably have a similar effect on you as the books did with your favorite author.

Just bought 2 Balfour Kinnear books for £18 on Amazon. I saw Falkus -Salmon for less than £10. I entered the word Salmon in the search and it gave something like 2000 returns!

Robbie,
Amazon is very good and seems to be reasonable with price for books.
The missus also occasionally uses Play.com for DVD's and games but I'm not sure if they sell books.
