Anyone noticing any difference to U.K. Rivers, perhaps Welsh rivers or Southern English Rivers in particular from the Irish drift netting ban? It is having a big impact on the Southern Rivers in Ireland which are doing well and on smaller rivers like the Easky in Co. Mayo where 58 fish were taken yesterday on fly. The owner there stopping estuary netting years ago when he bought the Fishery, now with the drift nets off all season, all returning fish have had a clear run.

Yes. Improved run of grilse and late summer salmon into the Severn. Not sure if it will be reflected in catch statistics though as many Severn salmon anglers concentrate in the spring and stop in July.
