I wandered onto the site along with the other hordes looking for further info on the Ness monster. Really glad I did, what a great board. I made a post looking for line weight advice, only 2 replies, but really valuable advice. Thanks guys. I'm a frequent salmon spinner but new to the fly, so hopefully I can get a hand here when I get stuck! As well as the generaly interesting reading on all the posts. Anyone fish the Don in Aberdeen, particularly the ADAA water? Keep up the good work, hope to speak more to everyone soon!

Thanks for your post Rodvegas, you'll find a whole hoard of info on here - worth the trawl through various threads over past months.
Haven't fished the Don for many seasons, poss 9 years at a guess, but a fishing buddie did get up there a couple of seasons back and said it was looking good. Will need to add to my "cast list" again.
Tight lines,
Altmor.

[ Anyone fish the Don in Aberdeen, particularly the ADAA water? [/quote] I'm sure there are some ADAA members on this site, just be patient! Trying to find out the same myself as I'm off to that area next week. Try and catch "Webbie" when he's online and send him a PM.

I had a 8lbs hen fish, slightly coloured, from the don last week it was of course returned. I have heard of a couple being caught but mostly coloured. The river is very low at the moment and needs some rain to liven it up.

Anything happening at Kemnay? I've had success in the past but never fished it with the water low.

Hi, I'm a member of the ADAA. Donnie, I would think that Kemnay would be a total waste of time at the moment, your best chance would probably be a day ticket at Parkhill. I don't think the Don on the whole is fishing very well at the moment though, as they are not even catching fish down on the lowest beats.
