I'm looking for some ideas on where to go next April for a fishing trip with my son. I've accumulated enough airmiles to get as far as the USA or Canada, but not quite sure what is the best option for this time of year.
My preference is for salmon or steelhead fishing, but timing wise it might be a bit early for salmon (and cold).
Other option is to head further south to the Florida Keys and go after some saltwater gamefish, but again not sure what what you can expect to catch in April, where to go, etc.
Anyone with any experience or got any suggestions, much appreciated ?

Hi there, Well I'm going over to fish the Skeena system, well, a part of it as well as the Kitimat river over in B.C. next April for the Steelhead. It's probably the best Steelhead fishing going. I'll be targeting the Kalum river mostly, which is a classified river, all catch and return. If your lucky with the conditions, water and weather wise you can hook into a few fish per day.Last April it was a bit slow due to the snow and water temp, but just being there is enough, for me anyway, and fishing traditional spey flies. You can spin or bait fish(some places) and catch more. If you want more info please p.m me ;D ;D ;D ;D
