There are reports of 22 fish for January, the river is now down to quite a low level and fishing well with fly. Saying that last week three fish were caught all on black flying c's

1st April - there is a good run of fish in the river at the moment. Water levels have risen again following heavy rain mid week.Martin Norris had a 6lbs fish on worm from the Red Roof, Ronnie McQuid had a 12.5 lbs fish from the Nursery on a Willie Gunn tube, Alan Kendall had a 10 pounder from the back of Kelly's on shrimp, Donal French-O Carroll had an 8lbs fish from the Turn Hole on Willie Gunn, Brian Collington had a 9 pounder on fly from the Black Gutter (released).

still seems to be good numbers of fish in the Drowse with fishing continuing to run through. As ever some have been caught on fly but spinning seems to be taking the majority.

Was down last thursday, saw quite a few fish but none on the bank as far as i know. Drowse is a very dour river.

I have only fished it once early this year, had no luck myself but did see a few fish as well. It does seem to produce a fair number of fish but maybe not in relation to the number of rods that fish it.
