I have attached a link to the River Drowes web site. They have four fresh fish on the opening day (1st January), of which two were returned. Good to see there is a fish or two on the go this early. www.drowessalmonfishery.com/#

the Drowses has been very high for most of January and early Feb. It has now dropped to more fishable levels and is currently at a good hight for the fly.
I gave it a throw on Saturday but without any success, I did get a nice brown trout (sonaghan) of about 1.5lbs which had my heart going momentarily ;D Did see a couple of kelts but no fresh fish.
