Fly fishing Valhalla is to be had this past few weeks on the Nore where many large fish up to the teens are taking single hook flies on both the Thomastown and Kilkenny anglers stretches. Fly fishing at its best for large fresh run sea liced fish in a river made for fly fishing. Compulsory catch and release, single hooks only.

The Nore anglers will be glad to see the end of the season, give their sore arms a rest.
Four Welsh anglers from Teifi had good fishing with 14 fish to 15lb for four days. White trout had two on the last saturday, one about 15. I lost two and had one about 7. Jim Brown had two or three most days as did Kieth. Great river great fishing. Plenty of fish in the river and plenty running over the last few days.
