Had a day at Park (North) yesterday. Cracking fun and lovely fishing, despite early flurries of snow. Alas, we had only one fresh fish to our party (and a few kelts), another 5 coming off the south bank. The fish "we" did catch was a beautiful, sea-liced 8 pounder.

No doubt Park is a cracking beat, where abouts did the fish come from?

The one to our party came from Durris Stream (where I also hooked a kelt). Not sure of productive pools on south bank - apprently bakebare has been good though.
yes, Park is lovely. I particulalry like House, Cellar and Durris - lovely mix of water. the overall experience is classic - right down to the fishing hut on North side.

Bakebear is my favourite on the beat and indeed the river, would love to try it from the South bank one day.

Aye, wading is easier from the South bank but always felt the North bank at Park better to fish - could just be me Always liked the house and the cellar pools, but the greenbank is also well worth a cast in biggish water.... and the kirks - damn, must go back for a cast someday ;D

I feel like the guy who put a million on black and it came up red! 6 fish the day I was there, 5 off the opposite (south) bank, then 27 Friday and 15 Saturday! Jings, what did I do to deserve that! Guess temperature came into play as it was freezing thursday with a lift Fri/sat.
Back up on 30th for my last try before emigrating. Just hope there's a few fish still coming in by then
