I also have heard that rumour albeit with norwiegan clients and the fact they don't ever see kelts on their rivers as they're all away by the time the season starts.

A good amount of snow fell today in Aberdeenshire, combined with strong northerly winds. Not the best of conditions for fishing. Or driving to Inchmarlo either Graham, the Cabrach was decidedly snowy, on reaching the other side I passed the gritting lorry stuck in a ditch.

Thanks for the reply Graham. I will pass on your information. I was told these events in good faith by a very experienced fisher from the Tweed. Highly unlikely to be sour grapes these blokes catch too many fish each year to bemoan their luck.

They have had a 30lb fish today, must be the biggest off the river this year.
