A little Trivia question to finish with. Name that beat? and what is the connection with the hut in the background and a famous Dignitary? Thanks again Malcolm its only about 48 weeks till you are back again I will forward you my Lumberjacking fees, sorry about the fence Is that by any chance "King Sandy's" Hut and himself at the bow of the boat after a relaxing afternoons fishing? Where is the rainbow!! ;D

Great report, seriously good pictures and cracking fish. One (unnamed ??) superbly tied fly. Terrific................Is the boat the Marie Celeste ? Could the hut be where Prince Charles first learned how to speak to Snowdrops ??

Speyvalley,
The fly, the fly..... it's killing me... what is it? Is it a Willie Gunn with gold/copper body and an orange collar hackle with JC cheeks.
I've tried to work it out but it's too soaked to in the photo.

James
Great collection of fish! Hopefully there's one or two for me at Carron next week. What hook size were you using and how long was the wing? I'm certainly going to knock up a couple of those flies this weekend.

Thanks for taking the time to post the pics Speyvalley. I'm just going to get the fly tying kit out just now. I must admit to being a fan of copper coloured bodies, they look less harsh than silver and warmer than gold in the water.
